This will give Altera the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.
This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Job Summary:
The Onboarding Program Manager is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new employees. This role coordinates and oversees all aspects of the onboarding process, from pre-employment paperwork to employee's first day. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has managed programs in the past, is hands on, has strong communication skills, and is passionate about helping new hires feel welcome and prepared to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Records: Partners with Recruiting Coordinator to compile and input all information into Workday to create an employee record and Employee ID.
Immigration Check: Facilitate and monitor any immigration checks.
Documentation: Ensure timely completion and accuracy of all new hire documentation, including offer letters, employment agreements, background checks, I-9 forms (US only), and benefits enrollment.
Orientation Facilitation: Organize facilitators to lead new hire orientation sessions to introduce new employees to company culture, values, and processes.
Orientation Content Information: Partner with key stakeholders to continuously improve onboarding documentation and training materials to keep them relevant and effective.
Systems Setup: Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure new hires have the necessary tools, equipment, and system access on their first day.
New Hire Coordination: Communicate with new hires to provide essential information such as employment forms, company policies, and pre-start materials.
Onboarding Support: Act as the main point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period, addressing any questions or concerns.
Feedback: Gather feedback from new hires to identify areas for improvement in our onboarding programs and make necessary adjustments.
Compliance: Ensure all onboarding activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention during the onboarding process, gathering feedback to improve the overall experience.
Reporting: Track and report on onboarding metrics such as time to productivity, new hire retention, and onboarding satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in onboarding, human resources, or a related role.
Skills:
Strong organizational and program management abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and onboarding platforms.
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in onboarding.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal Abilities: Empathy and a genuine desire to support and connect with new hires.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workday
Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment.
Familiarity with virtual onboarding processes.
