Ethernet Product Application Engineering Manager
Job Description
The Customer Experience and Supports (CES) team in NEX NSG is looking for a technically adept, customer-obsessed, experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a hardware and debug team of ethernet product application engineers (PAE) on ethernet product enablement and issue resolution, to support/enable CSP/CoSP/Enterprise/IoT OEM/ODM partners/customers to deliver designs/product timely and with high quality.
To work with other functional teams at local and different geography.
In this role, you will collaborate and coordinate with your team members, peers, and partners to drive customer enablement for products and resolution of customer issues including triage/assignment/debug/root-cause, utilizing metrics/indicators and issue resolution processes to align team effort with priorities and strategic objectives.
You will be the product family manager for customer issues originating on Intel ethernet adaptors or intel ethernet IP - and as appropriate take the lead for resolving customer escalation.
Job Responsibilities and Duties will include but not limit to:
Fostering the career development, coaching and performance management of employees reporting to you.
Knowing your customers' products, their client portfolio, what matters to them, and how your team fits in.
Leading and empowering staff to work with field teams and global product marketing and BU partners to ensure intel ethernet products are delivered with customers product plan on time and with quality.
Establishing productive, collaborative relationships with peers and partners. Efficiently communicating/reporting with a range of audiences spanning engineers, customers, and executives.
Especially for conflicts, crisis and customer expectation management. Managing the urgency of customer issues and escalations with intel ethernet product design-in, enablement and customer feature requests.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computing Science or relevant engineering and a minimum of 8 years experience in the server and networking related industry, included, at least, 3 years people manager experience.
A strong coach, sound boarder and advocator to direct reports and demonstrated leadership to team.
A listener, problem solver with result orientation, desire to identify and implement process improvements and self-motivator.
Proven capability to build a high performing, inclusive team, including selection and development of individual contributors to deliver the results required from the organization and to support and empower a team to succeed.
Experience on facilitating direct and open communication, i.e. conflict and crisis handling, issues confrontation with stakeholders and delivering critical message to stakeholders.
Proven experience to work with different teams/BUs to win a common goal and offer recognitions to key contributors.
Proven capability to manage a large, dynamic portfolio of customers, being very data driven.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Ethernet/Switch/Server product design or customer support familiarity and experience.
Knowledge of Industrial specification or standard and fluent experience on I/O technology.
Knowledge of Ethernet or PCIe or Fiber Channel or relevant SerDes I/O interface and proven experience to resolve customer issue with proper resolution.
Experience designing and implementing technical product training plans and curriculum.
Proven capability to work with a wide range of contributors and settle working plan and expectation: technical leads, manager peers, partner teams, and other organizations.
With business acumen and available to set priority. And Ability to see a challenge on the horizon and plan for it.
