SAP Release Engineer
Job Description
IT ERP Technology and Governance - Our team is a member of the SAP Center of Excellence group under the Supply Chain IT organization. We manage many different processes and tools to support the largest digital transformation Intel has ever gone through. Some of our team's responsibilities includes managing performance test processes for the ERP, another responsibility includes managing and leading the technical governance for our ERP systems, and another part of this team manages the ERP release activities where we utilize tools specific to SAP migrations. We have a large roadmap and are looking for the right person to join our very dynamic and strategic team.
Key responsibilities:
Specializes in deployment, maintenance, and documenting the software tool chain for source code management, software compilation, and/or artifacts content distribution.
Ensures the efficient planning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects.
Oversees and ensures timely software releases and may manage the software implementation process from development to execution.
Sets nightly builds, static and binary code analysis, and oversees proper packaging of new software version releases.
Requires deep knowledge of software configuration management, CI/CD systems and discipline in managing infrastructure as code.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Technology, or STEM-related.
3+ years of experience with SAP releases and deployments.
3+ years of experience with SAP development lifecycle, tools, development environment, and migration tools.
Advanced English level
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Experience in computer programming and knowledge of ABAP and SAP technologies development.
Experience with SAP release automation tools such as Rev-Trac.
Understanding of SAP S4 and transformation from earlier version.
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Project coordination skills.
Good understanding of SAP infrastructure, system architecture, SAP landscapes, and operating systems.
