Job Description
Conducts periodic and systematic evaluations of internal control systems and audit trails and makes recommendations for continuous improvement in processes and controls. Supports programs implementation and provides ongoing assessment of SarbanesOxley compliance (when required), identifies risk areas and determines remediation activities and monitors strategies to remedy SOX deficiencies. Establishes consistent control framework for all domestic and international subsidiary locations and executes assessments for internal controls and drives control initiatives to ensure compliance. Supports in development of training and communication materials for sensitization of employees on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems. Performs monthly analysis and reconciliations that are according to the relevant accounting standards followed by the organization for financial reporting. Supports in audit procedures and findings for the Intel's International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and other certifications. Develops and improves incident reporting process and provide guidance in investigation and reporting of incidents.Qualifications
Job DescriptionAltera Finance is looking for an experienced Finance professional to conduct channel customer compliance audits, as well as partner with relevant internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Legal to drive process and policy improvements to mitigate material financial risks. In addition, this candidate would help identify and implement audit techniques and methods potentially through data science, behavioural science, market and industry intelligence, relevant prior experience and other disciplines.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Developing test plans for channel audits based on risk analysis of the audit area and reviewing pertinent data and information;
- Conducting audit fieldwork using appropriate auditing methods. Consolidate and present audit findings and recommendations to relevant internal and external stakeholders;
- Follow up with relevant internal stakeholders on the implementation of audit recommendations;
- Lead and deliver risk management related projects;
- Using data analytics and continued learning of Altera business environment, to identify emerging risks, hence influence operational business partners on appropriate risk mitigation actions;
- Establish and drive policy and process improvements, as well as delivery of data science projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our risk management and monitoring capability; and
- Delivering compliance training, as necessary, to help reinforce internal company policies and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong bachelors degree in relevant discipline (including but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics or Business)
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a financial compliance related role
- Experience in financial modelling and analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Org savvy, anticipates controversies and knows how to diffuse
- Able to effectively manage and lead projects
- Highly analytical, able to extract insights from multiple sources of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications including MBA, CIMA, ACCA and CPA, and/or advanced analytics certifications
- Prior experience in internal audit, external audit or an investigations role
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
