Logistics Operations Manager
Job Description
Intel Dalian Memory Technology and Manufacturing (DMTM) is high-volume manufacturing memory fab in Intel China working on leading edge 3D NAND product. Intel and SK Hynix have an agreement for SK Hynix to acquire Intel's NAND memory and storage business. and Intel will continue to manufacture NAND wafers at the Dalian memory manufacturing until the final closing expected to occur in March 2025. Intel DMTM will continue to build on the success of our NAND technology at a greater scale, play a larger role in supporting our customers.
Manages the overall logistics of one or more categories and owns performance metrics to meet the operational needs of logistics function.
Monitors key metrics and implements best practices to ensure that all operational activities adhere to laws, guidelines, and Intel's standard requirements.
Reports progress against agreed schedule, scope, cost, and quality constraints to senior leaders on a regular basis.
Manages suppliers for the storage or movement of inbound, interplant, and outbound material, equipment, and finished goods.
Monitors and benchmarks supplier services against the service level agreement.
Guides the suppliers to evolve their service levels in line with Intel requirements.
Gathers data on existing processes from partners, stakeholders, customers and analyzes it to discover areas of defects, inefficiencies, or escalations.
Tracks and resolves shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, as well as logistics exceptions.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to assure the most efficient delivery of products to customers.
Utilizes analytical and advanced technology skills to develop logistics solutions that drive Intel's business execution optimally.
Builds solid relationships with crossfunctional teams and logistics service providers, ensuring smooth process flow and collaboration.
Manages critical escalations arising in the logistics network such that there is minimal impact on customer service.
Act as the expertise to apply complete and practical knowledge of multiple areas of specialization to a variety of issues/projects. Demonstrates full competency. Fully functioning/ qualified and may still be acquiring higher skill level, gaining exposure to complex work.
Plan own work within scheduled guidelines, independent judgement to work under broad guidelines; regularly apply independent judgement on matters of significance. Regularly makes independent decisions guided by previous experience and learned knowledge.
Identify and actively manage stakeholders (internal, external, and service providers).
Influence work team and serve multiple roles as Recommender and Activator. May serve as Decider on smaller projects/issues and/or in the interpretation of guidelines.
Moderate complexity with diverse issues and minimal review. Independently resolve routine and non-routine issues and seek assistance on complex/novel matters.
Assess unusual circumstances and use sophisticated problem-solving techniques to identify causes and begin building solutions.
This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK. This transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage, and you will be joining a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK group. We will keep you informed updates and steps related to this transaction.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor logistics industry
