Come build a future with us. Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join the Intel Government Technologies to lead our efforts to grow our Strategic Program Office! Intel Government Technologies (IGT) is responsible for managing Intel's business with the US Federal Government. We collaborate with sales and marketing, government affairs, and Intel business units (BUs) to develop and execute programs for US Government (USG) agencies. Intel Government Technologies works with and across the defense industrial base (DIB) and partner ecosystem to deliver mission solutions to USG customers.
IGT’s Mission: Drive rapid, sustained, profitable growth of Intel's business in the Federal markets in partnership with product, research, and foundry teams while maintaining compliant execution of programs. Our objective is to establish Intel as the national champion for semiconductors.
IGT is looking for an experienced Strategic Business Development Professional that is based in the Washington DC area who wants to work in this dynamic and growing environment.
In this role, the ideal Strategic Business Development Manager will:
Engage with IFL Foundry, Research and Development, and Product segment teams to identify and qualify strategic programs.
Directly facilitate engagements with external government customers regarding complex programs that could be tied to research, product development, foundry manufacturing and a variety of initiatives.
Translate customer goals and align them to Intel strategies and business objectives.
Work in partnership with business unit engineering organizations to plan and capture strategic programs and projects.
Set direction, plan and capture programs by balancing government customer expectations, technical need, business impact of decisions within the bounds of government contracts and Intel Federal guardrails. These programs may be large in scope, impact and complexity with extensive cross organizational dependencies.
Be a key interface and manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders.
Influence business unit or cross organizational strategies relevant to program goals, providing solutions to a wide range of problems.
Support the initial program setup and execution after contract award; then help transition program to IFL program management team.

Executive presence to interact directly with USG officials and Intel's Executive leadership.
Must be comfortable leading and exhibiting influence in a matrixed environment. Confidently and independently maneuver across organizational lines by leveraging a strong cross functional network. Comfortably lead highly matrixed teams where you will not have direct positional authority.
Willingness to handle many complex tasks and deadline pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
US citizenship required.
Active US Government TS clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience with at least 5 years directly engaging with the USG. Master's degree plus six (6) years industry experience with at least 4 years directly engaging with the USG.
9+ years of experience in sales, business development, program management, or capture and proposal.
4+ years of experience managing projects and programs with a complex set of stakeholders.
Experience managing effective government customer relationships.
Ability to travel locally multiple days a week to meet with various customers in proximity of Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Ability to travel at 25% as needed to Intel office in Fairfax, Virginia for in-person meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Experience with US Government funded contracts and a working knowledge of USG regulations (FAR, CAS regulations) governing such contracts.
Experience working with teams developing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with the USG.
Experience in high-tech field with working knowledge on silicon design and manufacturing is highly desirable.
PMI PMP and or Six Sigma certifications.

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
