The Role:
- As the inaugural member of our Learning and Development team, you'll be the architect of our educational learning system blueprint, designing and delivering the learning management system and processes that support our employee's growth and development. Your mission will be to harness cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to create an engaging and effective learning management system.
- Manages and oversees the organization's Learning Management Systems (LMS) functionality.
- Develops and implements Altera's learning management system by considering the organization's needs, objectives, capabilities and creating a strategy and approach that anticipates future requirements.
- Leads with research, planning, coordination and implementation of application solutions requirements both independently and with assistance from HR leadership, senior team members, and external vendors or consultants.
- Leads the design and maintenance of the LMS in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs for informed decision making. Oversees optimal function of the LMS platform, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules. Performs quality checks and approves the efficiency and effectiveness of all HR systems and programs prior to implementation. Leads all organizational compliance audits related to the LMS systems ensuring timely responses and assures delivery of systems support and information technology to business needs.
- The Learning Management System Specialist is pivotal in overseeing the administration and technical management of our Learning Management System (LMS), with a strong focus on compliance training. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to optimize the LMS's functionality, streamline training processes, and ensure adherence to all compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- System Management: Oversee the daily operations of the LMS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor system configurations and user access to maintain secure and efficient operations.
- Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support for training-related inquiries and user challenges within the LMS by diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions as needed.
- System Training: Create a training program for the People Team, admins, and learners to help everyone use the LMS effectively, covering easy-to-follow guides, best practices for scaling programs, and helpful resources to make navigating the system.
- Documentation Maintenance: Ensure that all documentation related to LMS processes and training materials is regularly updated and easily accessible for administrators and stakeholders
- Data Analysis: Analyze user engagement data related to training programs and compliance training to assess effectiveness and completion rates. Make recommendations for enhancements based on user feedback, compliance updates, and technological advancements.
- Releases and Roadmap: Conduct LMS capability assessments, contribute to the system roadmap and enhancements, test vendor releases to ensure new updates do not impact stakeholders, and inform administrators about upcoming changes.
- Collaboration: Consult with stakeholders on the best ways to set up their training programs and utilize the LMS for scaling, tracking completion, and extracting data.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on trends in Learning technology, LMS developments, and regulatory changes affecting compliance training.
- Propose new features or integrations that can improve learning outcomes and ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Human Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
- At least 5 years of recent experience as a Learning Management System Administrator
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical prowess with LMS platforms (Preferably Workday Learning) and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, or Storyline 360
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to software (e.g. Articulate, Udemy)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to compliance training (e.g., Harassment and Discrimination, Government Contract Regulation, Privacy and Security)
- Have successfully developed a comprehensive Admin Training Program designed to upskill program managers across various functions within a decentralized support model
- Exhibited strong proficiency in extracting and analyzing data across multiple organizational levels and programs

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
