Job Description
Join SATG as a Data Center Manager!
The Data Center Manager is responsible for managing daily information technology operations activities within and affecting the data center.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operational standards, computing devices
Infrastructure components (power, cooling, space, security)
Operations support, physical touch and hands on work, and drives compliance to information security policy and safety procedures.
Delivers quality and globally consistent designs and oversees design standardization, design updates, prototype development, and template specifications. Maintains current data center drawings, security access controls, capacity and facility audits, quality assessments, and system of record updates.
Develops new data center capacity strategies that focus on scaling capacity, driving improvements in reliability, and achieving cost and operational efficiency including reductions in deployment times, improvements in data center power utilization, service placement optimizations, and lifecycle total cost of ownership savings.
Monitors and manages fitup budgets and expenses for the respective data centers and provides supervision for local project work.
Leads data center and colocation capacity planning, drives both strategic and tactical data center capacity planning, scaling, and management.
Oversees 24x7 real time monitoring, incident response, communications management and reporting for all data center physical critical infrastructure globally. Provides oncall support and leadership for incident resolution, change control, and manages data center performance in accordance to agreed upon service and/or operational level agreements.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in an IT related discipline, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other related field and 4+ years of experience in:
Data Center Operations
Co-Location Data Center Mgmt
Security for 3rd Party Data Center
Vendor Mgmt
Data Center infrastructure
Data Center Capacity planning
Power/Cooling
Racking/stacking of servers
Cable management
This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Linux and/or windows compute infrastructure; network infrastructure; ITIL practices
Data center operations, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, use Data Center Management Systems (DCM), OFFICE365, VISIO, ServiceNow (ISMP), and other tools related to DC management.
