Infrastructure and DevOps Sr Engineer (Temporary position)
Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing and improving the build and release processes for our software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, automation, and a passion for optimizing and streamlining software delivery pipelines.
Please consider that this is a Temporary position (1 year).
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient build and release pipelines.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable releases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot build and deployment issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- maintain and improve CI/CD tools and infrastructure, including Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Develop and enforce best practices for version control, branching, and merging strategies.
- ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in the build and release processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the build and release processes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications, are required to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in build and release engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Circle CI, or similar.
- 3+ years of experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- 1+ years of experience working with buiild automation tools such as Make, CMake, Ant, Maven, Gradle or similar.
- Intermediate to Advanced English level.
- The position is in Mexico, it is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Master's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience working with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systema, including Shell scripting and Command-line tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
