Cloud Customer Software Architect
Job Description

As a Cloud Customer Software Architect, you'll have the unique opportunity to work hand-in-hand with these industry leaders, designing and developing software solutions that unlock optimal performance, scalability, and innovation. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting seamless integrations between partner software stacks and Intel hardware, driving business success for our clients and shaping the future of cloud computing.
Your Mission:
- Collaborate with industry leaders to optimize full-stack software solutions, from firmware to applications, for deployment on Intel platforms in cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Optimize, design, develop, validate, and debug software to enable Intel hardware features in open-source and customer software, driving innovation and value for our customers.
- Develop reference cloud platform software and work with customers to optimize their designs, ensuring they get the most out of Intel products in the cloud.
- Specialize in specific technology domains, such as data services, AI/ML, or open-source development projects, and become a subject matter expert in your area of focus.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Benchmark and Analyze Workloads: Use advanced tools to benchmark workloads at scale and analyze performance to identify areas for optimization.
- Design and Implement Scalable Solutions: Create differentiated solutions to improve performance by leveraging Intel architecture features, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Contribute to Open-Source Projects: Design, implement, and upstream solutions in Linux kernel and other open-source projects to drive innovation and collaboration.
- Lead Workstreams and Collaborate: Lead workstreams and work with teammates to identify, develop, and upstream IA optimizations into Cloud Open Source Software, spanning Operating System and Middleware software.
- Propose Architectural Improvements: Provide recommendations for architectural improvements in future hardware and software products, driving innovation and growth.
A strong candidate will demonstrate the following skills:
- Communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, design and suggest experiments, analyze workloads, and propose optimizations.
- Utilizing and contributing requirements or features to tool sets.
- Expertise utilizing and analyzing one or more cloud workloads or workload categories, such as data services, web, AI, media, or other.
- Documented contributions to the Cloud technology industry for performance, workload and solutions, e.g. whitepapers, conference presentations, patents, code contributions, technical blogs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or a similar field) with 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Relevant work experience includes:
- Utilizing performance tools for workload analysis and contributing optimizations and improvements.
- Proficient in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, python, java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in computer science (or a similar field) and 6+ years of relevant work experience or PHD with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience enabling Intel Xeon platform features or implementing software optimizations.
- 1+ year of experience partnering with sales and marketing.
