Who We Are
Join one of the premier software development teams at Intel to solve challenging problems through the creation of high-performance C++ algorithms.
Our team is responsible for creating layout automation capabilities that enable chip designers to fully utilize next-generation manufacturing processes and best in class product design convergence.
We are looking for a software engineer that enjoys solving challenging geometric problems using multi-threaded algorithms that are time and space efficient. In addition to solving problems through applied software engineering practices, our team assists Design Technology Co-Optimization efforts, layout creation, and assembly. You will experience teamwork in a very collaborative and interactive working environment.
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team of experienced engineers.
Enjoy creating innovative algorithms to solve challenging geometric puzzles.
Passion to develop and deliver modular highly maintainable production-quality software.
Demonstration of effective cross-team coordination and technical leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective software engineering skills.
High performance computing including cache-optimized data storage and retrieval.
Experience with C++ software development on Linux systems.
Understanding of algorithmic impact of terabyte-scale datasets, graph theory, and high-performance multi-threading.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field with 3+ years of educational or work experience. OR a Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field with 2+ years of educational or work with experience.
Experience must be in the following:
Experience with C++ programming skills including templates and virtual functions,
Experience with algorithms and algorithmic complexity, VLSI, layout completion, and fill algorithms.

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
