Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering manager to lead Functional Validation team that is part of Client Validation Engineering organization, charted for validation of next-generation Client AI PCs. Functional Validation team is chartered to perform SoC Silicon validation on Intel's next generation platforms including client CPUs and chipsets using custom designed hardware and software. In a nutshell, we are validating functionality of SOC Hardware features per Design and Architecture spec in system environment with Firmware and Software ingredients to meet product quality. Our vision is Zero customer bugs escape and as a Post Silicon Functional Validation team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technology integrated into AI PC and develop new technical strategy or methodology or tool or test to validate the SOC functionality with firmware and software at system level.
As the Silicon Validation Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
-Managing teams of validation engineers. You will set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
-Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
-Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.
-Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
-Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
-Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
-Leadership and management skills to lead a highly technical organization
-Solid communication skills with working knowledge of technical development
-Demonstrate experience in establishing and maintaining successful relationships with partner organizations to drive aggressive roadmap
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor in Computer Science/Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with at least 15 years of experience.
Silicon development in the areas of CPU or logic or memory products
Firmware development or debug and programming languages such as C or C++ or Python
Design, development or validation of Computer hardware/software stack, including the silicon, all onboard HW components and connectors and devices, drivers, and applications.
Handling various silicon and SoC system debug tools such as JTAG, Logic Analyzer, high bandwidth real time/sampling oscilloscope, high frequency pulse/signal etc.
5+ years direct people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters/PhD in Computer Science/Electrical and Electronics with at least 12+ years experience
Design validation of logic/circuits, IOs or subsystems in areas of IA Core, Atom, uncore, memory, High speed IOs or complex subsystems
Validation methodology development or strategy, planning and gap analysis for IP or SoC products
