Developer Social and Community Strategist
Job Description
We are seeking a Developer Social and Community Strategist to lead the development, execution, and engagement strategies across both social media and community platforms, focusing on fostering meaningful relationships with developer audiences. This role will be instrumental in driving impactful initiatives tailored to the unique technical needs and interests of developers on global platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, X, and LinkedIn, among other developer-focused ecosystems.
As part of the Corporate Brand Team working directly with the Global Head of social media, you will collaborate with the Commercial marketing team and Developer Program stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development and Execution
- Own and manage Intel Developer social media handles (e.g., Intel Developer on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit).
- Develop and implement a holistic developer-centric strategy for social and community platforms, covering: Editorial planning: Create content calendars, strategies, and frameworks. Growth and activation: Develop approaches to increase community engagement and foster authentic connections. KPI tracking: Set benchmarks for success in developer-specific engagement metrics.
- Create and execute tailored campaigns, including AMAs, community discussions, and developer event coverage.
- Partner with internal Developer Relations, Product and Commercial Marketing, and regional teams.
- Content Creation and Engagement
- Oversee and edit technically accurate, engaging social content that balances technical and corporate messaging while avoiding marketing jargon.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and technical teams to produce content optimized for platforms such as GitHub discussions, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to support discussions, address developer concerns, and share meaningful content in forums.
- Community Building and Management
- Foster active relationships with moderators, community leaders, and influencers on key platforms to build partnerships and increase engagement.
- Actively engage with developers in discussions on platforms such as Stack Overflow, Reddit, Spiceworks, and Discord.
- Analytics, Insights and Optimization
- Leverage tools like Sprinklr, Talkwalker, and community-specific analytics to track sentiment, engagement, and trends.
- Use insights from social listening and community interactions to refine strategies and recommend actions with measurable impact.
- Use regular reporting on platform performance and campaign effectiveness to provide clear recommendations for optimization. Thought Leadership and Advocacy
- Serve as a subject matter expert on developer engagement, educating internal teams and external agencies on best practices.
- Stay current with trends, platform updates, and community dynamics, particularly within the developer ecosystem.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel Immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in social media or community engagement, with a focus on developer audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of:
- Designing and executing developer-centric campaigns, such as AMAs, hackathons, or community events.
- Familiarity with tools like Sprinklr, Smartsheets, Talkwalker, Common Room, and other analytics platforms
- Working in global, matrixed organizations
