In Q4'2023 Intel announce Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and it is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

The Secure Device Manager (SDM) Architect will contribute to the architecture of processor Subsystem that configures lntel-FPGAs and will provide a secure Root of Trust for those devices The role covers specification generation, specification negotiation, system modelling, and definition of processor core and peripherals.
The SDM architect will require a broad knowledge in CPU SoCs, Crypto algorithms, peripherals and IP-based design. The candidate will understand clocking, configuration, boot flows and proficiency to work with Software and firmware teams. The candidate will be responsible for defining complex SDM interactions with other subsystem, understand the complex global nature of the problem and work cross functionally with several other architects. Proven experience in FPGA or SoC industry will be a plus.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
Must have experience as a Hardware Design with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in design and/or architecture
Experience in architecting complex systems using and demonstrating success in deploying those systems.
Must have experience in Processor, CPU based designs, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in CPU based designs.
Must have strong understanding of ARM/RISCV and subsystem components such as DMA, NoC/NIC, Interrupt controllers
Experience with security algorithms, secure boot flows, access control with TrustZone/WorldGuard would be a plus
Experience with functional safety (FuSa) and IP/SoC expertise with definition + implementation of FuSa would be a plus
Solid background on security topics and IPs will be an important plus.
Must have excellent analytical and communication skills
Must be result-oriented and self-driven to learn, innovate and move things at a fast pace
