Who We Are
Network and Edge Group CSG team is searching for a Platform Applications Engineer to provide outstanding technical support to Intel product development teams and Network, Comms and Storage customers designing with Intel Architecture Xeon-D and Atom products.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Intel Architecture knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and outstanding customer communication skills to successfully enable major data center customer designs with innovative platform solutions.
The successful candidate will work with Intel product development teams and customers to drive resolution of hardware and software technical issues.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
Ability to influence product execution teams and customers through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and respond professionally to customer questions and/or issues.
Documentation, Deployment and Support:
Collaborate with external manufacturers to align hardware build schedules with overall program timelines.
Develop comprehensive assembly instructions and provide training to both internal and external customers.
Offer virtual and hands-on support to ensure proper functionality and integration of hardware solutions.
Work with low-cost geographic suppliers to implement cost-effective designs.
Innovation:
Lead the development of next-generation validation thermal and socket technologies by partnering with customers and suppliers to address emerging challenges.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 6+ years of industry work experience, or
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 4+ years of industry work experience, or
PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 2+ years of industry work experience
Industry work experience should include the following:
Experience with both hardware and software, with a preference for Intel Architecture.
Experience in schematic, printed circuit board layout, and typical lab tools.
