Hardware Design Intern at Data Center Validation Platforms
Job Description
Intel's Xeon segment is at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting-edge solutions for data centers and enterprise applications. We are seeking a motivated and talented Hardware Design Intern to join our dynamic team responsible for designing validation platforms for the Xeon product line.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hardware design and validation processes, working alongside industry experts.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist in the design and development of hardware validation platforms for Xeon processors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements and specifications.
- Support the integration and testing of hardware components to ensure functionality and performance.
- Participate in debugging and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Contribute to the documentation of design processes and validation results.
- Engage in continuous learning and development through mentorship and training sessions.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (At least remaining 1 year as an active student).
- 3+ months of experience in digital electronics and hardware design principles.
- 3+ months of experience in at least one of the following programming and scripting languages: Python, C, C++.
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
- The position is in Mexico, it is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications, are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium).
- Experience with FPGA design and simulation tools.
- Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity concepts.
- Exposure to hardware validation and testing methodologies.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
