CGAI (Client Graphics and AI Group) is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU and AI Accelerator intellectual property IP blocks and its software solution. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We work closely with partners across Intel and do not let any organizational boundaries get in the way of solving problems.
As an AI Software Development Engineer, you will work with a team of highly talented software and hardware engineers and architects to solve complex problems and come up with innovative solutions. We are looking for new colleagues who want to work in the AI field and work on multiple levels of the AI software stack. We design, develop, and validate from the lower levels of device firmware, up through the driver layer, operating systems, applications, test environments, and target environments. We collaborate with multiple teams across intel and work with customers to deliver best-in-class products.

As an AI Software Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Designs, develops, integrates, tests, validates, and/or debugs software to enable Intel product features to enable or utilize Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning and deep learning.
Understands internal and external partner software and develops software across the stack (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable and optimize specific AI features, capabilities, solutions, reference platforms, or Intel products.
May include the development of reference AI software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value of Intel AI products, the development and/or optimization of workloads for AI benchmarks, and workloads for simulation to support pre-Si power and performance analysis and architecture recommendations.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any STEM related degree with 5+ years of experience - OR- a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in machine learning and proficiency should be related to software development.
Candidate must have 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Experience working in low level software, Firmware Development, Windows Device Driver Architecture, Development or Validation.
Experience in understanding relevant hardware specifications and applying that knowledge to Design/develop/debug/validate driver software.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in HW/SW driver interactions.
Experience in C / C++ software and Python
Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out:
Experience in the following:
AI Technology
Scheduling
Power Management
Memory Management
Experience with the following:
Micro/Power Controller and developing firmware for it.
CPU and GPU Power and performance optimization, tradeoff and characterization of various GPU and CPU workloads.
DirectX (11/12) or both
Windows debugging tools and analyzers.
Understanding ultithreading and multithreaded application design
