Silicon Photonic Test Development Engineer
Job Description
Intel's Integrated Photonics Solution (IPS) group is focused on revolutionizing computing platforms by developing optical networking solutions using Intel’s silicon photonics platform.
As a Silicon Photonic Test Development Engineer, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop state of the art wafer-level testing methods for Photonic components and PICs used in Intel's Silicon Photonics products.
- Work closely with NPI on wafer sort implementation.
- Work on software platforms to execute the tests and algorithms for parametric extraction from the collected data.
- Strong cross-functional communications with design and manufacturing teams is expected in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with Design team in developing new tests to qualify new photonic device and PIC designs.

Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or closely related field.
2+ years of experience in:
- Photonic device design and characterization.
- Testing semiconductor devices.
- Programming.
- Data processing algorithms.
PreferredQualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or optical Materials Science
- Experience testing integrated photonic solutions
- Technical background in optical communication components and/or systems.
- Experience using and programming semiconductor test equipment.
