The GPU and System Software Engineering organization is responsible for developing Linux drivers and technology for Intel's Graphics/Compute products, for data center and client. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Develops and/or validates software that enables Intel GPUs. Scope can spans the entire stack, from firmware and device drivers through APIs and the application layer, and may also include the tools, infrastructure, and technologies necessary to develop, profile, optimize, and productize Intel GPUs or graphics/GPGPU software solutions.
- Use your technical skills to dive deep into Intel's Linux GPU SW stack and open source kernel drivers, contributing toward the release of industry-leading features for Intel's integrated and discrete graphics/compute products.
- Work directly with open source communities and across business units within Intel.
- Perform design, development, validation, documentation, and power and performance analysis.
- Work in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-site organizations
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3+ years' industry experience working in large scale software product development teams and projects
OR
A Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Skills:
- Strong C/C++ programming Skills.
- Experience developing system software for Linux OS.
- Understanding of Linux Operating system architecture and device driver model.
- Hands-on knowledge in the software engineering development lifecycle process.
- Debugging and system integration skills.
- Preferred and beneficial Qualifications: (Having one or more of the following qualifications is preferred).
- Familiarity with Linux kernel open source contributions and practices.
- Familiarity with Linux DRM subsystem and graphics/compute SW stack.
- Familiarity with Linux power management flows and/or power saving hardware technologies.
- Familiarity with 3D driver development, Vulkan/OpenGL APIs, and contributing to open source Mesa 3D project.
- Experience with HPC, AI and/or ML software Developing scalable MPI applications.
