In Q4 2023, Intel announced that the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) will be reported as a separate business unit beginning January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company by January 1, 2025.
We are seeking are seeking an Electrical Validation Engineer for the following:
Leader to help Establish and lead electrical validation program methodologies, drive validation PLC best known methods and establish critical metrics for successful product qualification.
Manages complex programs of global scope and impact through all phases of product life cycles.
Product validation voice of EV team to product development and higher level program forums.
Create strong relationships with Customer facing teams to ensure Electrical Validation plans align to customer priorities/requirements
Engage with owners of all platform disciplines including teams from BUs, design to achieve high quality PRQ and launch. Provides electricals scope/commits and inputs to Product planning
Drive consistency and standardization in program validation methods across all custom-logic segments (FPGAs, SASICs and ASICs)
Coordinate with validation teams to provide post silicon validation requirements to ingredient teams including boards, firmware, tools, etc
Ensure reference/debug platform plans support system and electrical validation needs. Drive milestone readiness reviews by working closely with Validation and System Engineering architects.
Partner with product development leaders on developing strategic plans to help PSG achieve and maintain transceiver leadership.
Coach and mentor new electrical Validation Engineers and leads in the organization.
Build strong relationships with manufacturing engineering to develop and apply test applications meeting performance and yield requirements.
Works closely with design teams to define and implement required DFx hooks and methodologies.
Ensure consistency, reuse and teamwork across different validation teams. Establish best known methods on EV.
Defines and develops silicon validation strategy, methodologies, test environment, and test suites.
Analyzes coverage gaps and drives actions to improve validation coverage and outgoing quality.
Performs validation complexity assessment and provide inputs to the planning process. Develops and executes validation plans, reviews validation results, and collaborates with other engineers for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and design optimization. Defines design for validation/debug hooks and drives the implementation with design teams.
Applies deep understanding of hardware validation techniques to develop methodologies for process, voltage, and temperature (PVT), system level test, and general validation coverage for silicon.
Develops automated scripts on software, finds and implements SW and HW solutions to resolve silicon bugs, and supports innovations in processes and tools.
Collaborates with architecture, verification, software, and tools teams to drive silicon failure debug across functional, electrical, power, performance, and area parameters.
Qualifications
BS/MS plus 8 years of experience in CPU or chipset platform validation leadership in the post silicon electrical domain
Minimum 4+ years of experience in management of high complex programs involving diverse stakeholders.
Broad platform expertise. Proven leadership in System design and Analog Validation Architecture is required.
Strong technical expertise/understanding of end2end electrical validation strategy for a given product at Silicon and platform level.
Experience of working closely with Circuit designers and Platform architects.
Experience in leading cross divisional platform steering teams.
Strong leadership and communication skills is a must.
Ability to influence product development and execution teams to drive risk mitigation for program level qualification.
Demonstrate ability to quickly learn enough depth on new products/technologies to support strategic discussions and set direction. Role model sound judgment in planning and decision making.
The candidate must have a high focus on discipline in execution, a relentless pursuit of quality, and excellent customer orientation.
Recognized technical leadership in leading methodologies/strategies for electrical validation is a plus.
Proven leadership skills and demonstrated experience in engaging with and gaining support from senior level management on key initiatives.
