This position is in the Performance and Power Architecture team of NEX/NXNE/Comms Product and Platform Architecture with a specific focus on performance analysis and influencing micro-architectures of future NEX products.
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and technically competent individual for this position. This position offers broad but solid exposure to future IA platform architecture including accelerators, processors, memory, IO, networking-related components and their interdependencies.
In addition, you will gain significant insight into future system architectures, technologies, and simulation environments. Duties will include power and performance analysis of Network workloads. The position involves performance validation of Xeon/Xeon-D and Core architectures for NEX specific workloads. You will also help in development of new workloads. You will be working closely with Silicon architecture, Silicon design/validation, Software Engineering, and Performance Measurement and Analysis teams, and contribute to the success of SoCs for Network and communication.
The Platform PnP Engineer should possess the following attributes in addition to the qualifications listed below.
·Self-starter, able to drive tasks to closure.
·Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
- MS in Computer Science/Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering.
- 6+ months experience with Computer Architecture.
- 6+ months experience in Linux and Intel Processors based platforms.
- 6+ months experience programming in any combination of C/C++ or Python.
- 3+ months experience with Computer Networking stacks, protocols. (TCPIP, 3G/5G, Routing Algorithms, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI software.
- Exposure to DPDK and VPP framework.
- Knowledge of industry workloads such as NGINX, SPECpower, SPECcpu and Phoronix, etc.
- Familiar with workload use of GPU, compression, crypto accelerators.
- Experience resolving customer issues.
