Job Description

As a Security Researcher at Intel, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary security research projects using your expertise. The ideal candidate should be able to:
- Understand requirements and problems with minimal information.
- Identify potential research paths and tackle challenges such as steep learning curves and unfamiliar toolsets.
- Communicate effectively with both organization leaders and technical teams to share results, findings, and drive decisions.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will spearhead efforts to protect Intel's cutting-edge technologies by identifying and mitigating critical security risks. Specific responsibilities include:
- Conduct vulnerability research, including identifying vulnerability classes and writing proof-of-concept code.
- Perform impact analysis and provide mitigation guidance for findings in complex and hard-to-patch areas.
- Develop automation and offer research guidance to identify and prioritize new high-value objectives.
- Design and implement robust countermeasures and mitigations.
- This position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of advanced security principles, theories, and attack methodologies, as well as hands-on contributions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participation in the development of intellectual property is also expected.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience (or equivalent hands-on work) in system security research, focusing on exploring software and hardware techniques for attacking computing systems.
- Hands-on experience with software security, vulnerability research, and reverse engineering (e.g., x86, x64, ARM, or others).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Assembly, Rust, Python or other scripting languages.
- Understanding of embedded systems, modern operating system internals, and cryptographic primitives and protocols.
- Capability to work independently in dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
- Strong expertise across hardware, software, and firmware security domains, with a passion for research and community contributions.
Additional Advantages
- Experience in network penetration testing and fuzzing.
- Familiarity with the design of complex software, firmware, and hardware projects.
