Software Validation Engineer
Job Description
The Debug Solutions Group is responsible for developing software to debug and validate Intel's next generation microprocessors. Our mission is to improve the quality of the products through innovative solutions and world-class engineering.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to enhance the quality and expedite the delivery of Intel software products. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will analyze software systems, develop effective test strategies, build and maintain automation systems, debug and isolate issues, and execute creative tests to deliver high quality software. Your primary focus will be on developing code to test software features and extending our automation infrastructure to achieve the desired quality standards. You will collaborate closely with software developers and product owners within an agile software development environment. Your software expertise will be instrumental in influencing superior software design and advocating for best engineering practices.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Implementing Software Validation and DevOps methodologies for Debug-tools.
- Designing and coding tests for software features, as well as extending our test automation infrastructure.
- Applying software development processes and best practices.
- Interfacing with end-users and product planners to translate requirements into effective software solutions.
- Researching and innovating validation and DevOps practices.

Qualifications
Requirements listed could be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Bachelor´s degree in a Computer Science or any related field.
- 1 + years of experience in Python programming.
- 1 + years of experience in Software Development practices: software configuration management, build and release management processes, test automation and associated tools.
- 1+ years of experience in Software Testing and/or DevOps operations.
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.
- This position is for Guadalajara location only. Relocation is not approved.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Master's degree in a Computer Science or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in C/C++ programming.
- 1+ years of experience in Windows and Linux scripting.
- Experience with build tools for automating CI/CD workflows, such as Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of software orchestration tools for automating infrastructure management, such as Ansible.
