System Software Development Engineer
Job Description
In this job you will be working within the Functional Validation (FV) team inside the DCAI group working on next generation Xeon products for server markets.
You will define, develop and debug OS based validation content for pre-silicon environments and post-silicon platforms.
Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans and debugging of failures.
Responsible for creating and optimizing the validation environment, tools and content.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 to 8 years of related experience.
Knowledge in Linux-based Operating systems especially Debian-based.
Ability to write and debug Linux device drivers.
Solid knowledge of C/C++ including code triage and debugging skills.
Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell, etc.).
Solid Linux kernel driver development and debug experience.
Basic working knowledge with automation systems.
Basic working knowledge in databases.
A team player with good organizational and/or planning skills and solid verbal and/or written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of Intel Xeon Processors and server products.
Ability to independently read specifications, identify interesting test cases, document them, and implement them.
Previous experience in pre-silicon or post-silicon verification/validation.
Ability to work across multiple teams to interface between Architecture, Design, Software and other validation teams.
Experience working with various Operating Systems used in platform validation including Windows, RedHat, and Debian Linux
