CPU Architecture Validation Tool Development Engineer

Job Details:
Creates, defines, and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure architecture is working as defined in spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-Silicon Validation teams in improving Post-Silicon test content and providing feedback for future on die debug features.

We are looking for engineers with expertise and commitment to software engineering best practices with strong problem solving and communication skills. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment in a tightly knit team to deliver high quality software to multiple customers within the company. The individual will be working on development of validation software used in critical IP validation in the company.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related branch with at least 4 or more years of experience in related field or a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience
- Demonstrated excellence in development using C/C++ development
- Strong OS concepts, hands on experience in Data structures, Algorithms and Debugging.
- Familiarity with scripting using Python/Perl.
- Demonstration of analytical problem solving, collaboration and team work.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be part of Intel Core validation tool development team. You will be developing tool to validate all Intel cores for its correctness in memory ordering and coherency. You will need to understand the test coverage it will provide to the Intel core's micro architectural features that are being tested. You will be responsible to develop new tool features to cover new hardware features, improve tools existing functionality for better bug finding, performance, debuggability and performance throughput. You will need to understand the tool and its ecosystem holistically to deliver high quality tool to Intel Validators.
We're looking for a highly motivated, software development Engineer who is responsible for:
- Working with Core validators and designers to understand tool requirements
- Requirement analysis and Feature design
- Implementation and testing
- Ability to network and influence locally as well as across geographies.
