Intel Government Technologies Product Planner
Job Description
Intel Government Technologies is responsible for managing Intel's business with Governments Worldwide. We collaborate across Intel to develop and execute programs for Government agencies. IGT works with and across the ecosystem to deliver mission solutions to Government customers.
The IGT Product Planner resides within the Product Segment Team. This team is chartered with defining, developing, and managing new product and service offerings to meet the unique requirements for government, aerospace, and defense customers. A broad range of initiatives are underway including enhancing Commercial-off-the-Shelf products, developing custom products, and integrating hardware and software platforms with internal and external sourced technologies. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical and business acumen to engage on emerging and established business lines and be able to dive into technical details alongside subject matter experts.
The Product Planner will work with product managers, architects, program managers, RD, sales, and market intelligence functions toward the following responsibilities but not limited to:
Advance new product ideas from kickoff, concept, to execution.
Develop business cases, financial projections, market requirement documents, product requirements documents, and go-to-market strategies that deliver outstanding value to our customers while maximizing value to the Intel Product and Intel Foundry organizations.
Ability to understand the broad portfolio of Intel's products, services, and technical capabilities and how they address customer use cases to create differentiated value for global government, aerospace, and defense customers.
Apply analytical skills to turn qualitative information and concepts into actionable quantitative insights in a market with sparse analyst and market intelligence coverage.
Aggregate customer and market insight with input from partner organizations to define product platforms that better position Intel to be competitive.
Synthesize and reconcile data from various public, private, and internal data pools to develop and communicate a deep understanding of U.S. and global government market trends.
Create and revolutionize the global government market model and product roadmap to inform Intel's future product strategies.
Perform in export controlled or classified environment.
Fast learner and lead teams through ambiguous objectives in a structured way.
Travel 10% or more domestically and internationally as needed.
Provide excellent written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to compress complex business, market, and technical concepts into concise messages and insights.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
US citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a US Government TS Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in business, technical or related field with 9+ years of relevant industry experience.
9+ years of experience with product planning or product management.
Experience in value propositions, including associated messaging and narratives to meet customer requirements.
Experience with financial projections and NPV models.
Experience engaging the product life cycle to validate product concepts and requirements while ensuring progress through executive reviews and product development execution phases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active US Government TS Security Clearance.
An MBA or relevant experience in prior government or defense roles will accelerate ramp.
Experience with Intel's product and service roadmaps and help the company launch new products.
Experience with US and international government agencies particular dynamics, needs, and purchasing cycles.

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
