SoC PTP Val and Opt Engineer
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develops, enables, and continuously optimizes power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization testing tools and methodologies.
- Incorporates end-to-end content for power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization, writes automation scripts to automate executing such content utilizing automation and data collection, visualization, and data mining and analysis methods to characterize and optimize the product for power, thermal, and performance.
- Define and optimizes validation automation tools and scripts to establish functional health of hardware both under nominal and technology node process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) conditions and increase the execution efficiency and pathfinding insights for the validation and optimization team.
- Improve validation and testing software quality through innovations in processes, tools, automation, and data management. Participates in debugging processes to identify root cause of the platform, firmware, software, and SoC issues.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, software, firmware, and power, thermal, and performance teams to understand configuration requirements, deliver programming specifications to software teams, and ensure correct system software configuration of hardware. Implement scripts to automate validation tests.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
- 1+ years of experience working on product level power and performance analysis and optimization.
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
- The position is located in Mexico, it is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.
Preferred qualifications, preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
- Expertise and deep understanding in the areas of silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement, active power management.
- Background with the market segments of datacenter is preferred.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
