Development Tools Software Engineer
Job Description
In Q4 2023,Intel® announced Altera® will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel®.
This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. We are seeking a self-driven and passionate Software Engineer to join Altera ®'s Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) organization.
You will join a team of software engineers specialize in delivering innovative software solutions to enable new FPGA product development, drive FPGA product diagnostic and yield improvements, and elevate organization productivity and efficiency. You will be responsible for delivering innovative software solutions that excite your customers within the MDE organization and with cross functional teams. With Altera® transition to standalone company, you will lead separation activities where MDE will have the best-in-class and right size software solutions. You will lead new software development initiative, drive innovative improvement, evaluate new technology, benchmark solutions, support existing software solutions, and drive software projects to completion.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum Requirements
6+ years of experience in software engineering.
3+ years of experience in object-oriented programming language.
2+ years of experience in python.
2+ years of experience in Linux development environment.
2+ years of experience in project management.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing development cycle.
Experience working with global teams.
Experience leading complex projects from conception to productization.
Experience working with automated test equipment ATE and lab operations software systems.

Working Model
