Platform Power Thermal Performance Engineer
Job Description
Platform System Engineering is looking for talents for Power Thermal Performance (PTP) engineering to secure the Intel Data Center and AI products are best optimized in system level, Rack level and cluster level. In this position, you will be responsible for defining, executing and optimizing platform power and performance KPIs on both internal reference and customer systems. integrated software and hardware packages to secure the quality of Intel released SW/FWs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: o Pioneer investigator of datacenter and AI products power performance engineering (performance, energy efficiency, cost of operations), expert in power and performance development, optimization and validation methodologies. o Build power and performance testing plan, execute and optimize in regular cadence released software and firmware stacks throughout the whole development cycle of Intel server products, on both Inte reference system and customer design systems. o Drive power and performance sightings for closure by proactive physical work in lab and/or coordination with relevant stakeholders on issue duplication and investigation. o Closely collaborate with Intel silicon enabling, software development, firmware development, and various components teams to optimize and tune from top application layer to silicon RTL level to meet KPI requirements. o Ensure process compliance and proactively improve workflows, best practices and tools;Qualifications
This job is reserved for the person who is always passionate to putting new technology into practice in the fastest manner, exploring all possible alternatives for better solution, and pursuing constant improvement on test efficiency and coverage. You should possess a Master of Science degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology. o Good understanding of the designs and architectures of Data Center and AI product CPU, accelerators, GPUs, Operating System, Driver, BIOS fundamentals, and FW fundamentals. o Good acknowledgement of product power performance concept and benchmarking metrics in hardware or software level, extend to data center broader usage level would be a plus. o Excellent problem solver with strong hands on skills for programming (e.g. Python, C/C++), be able to do source code level tuning, and debug software/firmware issues , and write scripts for automating test cases. o Plus if have hands-on development/validation experience of one or more power performance workloads including CPU and GPU computing, system memory latency and bandwidth, in-memory Database, ML/DL Training or Inference, Network virtualization etc.. o Have concepts of platform Integration cycles, e.g. code review, source control, code quality automation scanning, bug scrub, feature testing and product release. o Demonstrated capability to work within a team environment facing fast-changing requirements and complicated stakeholders. o Excellent English verbal and writing skills.Inside this Business Group
