Program Manager Director HW IP Development
Job Description
Directs a team of platform development engineers and manages their activities, functions, and responsibilities. Oversees various aspects and processes of platform engineering such as design, deployment, integration, systems, equipment, validation, and solution delivery. Drives priority feature or landing zone tradeoff decisions to ensure product competitiveness. Applies expertise in platform design to aggregate and prioritize platform requirements with various business teams and establishes a complete platform strategy, leading it through planning, business justification, execution, and launch following the product lifecycle. Oversees financial planning, budgeting, managing expenses, and team's capital assets. Collaborates with multiple teams such as silicon and electrical design engineering teams to create design guidelines, specifications, and best practices, resolves manufacturing challenges, and defines new technology requirements and rules. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results. Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.
- Drive the development of Uncore IPs for Xeons
- Productize innovative scientific and technical solutions. Oversee the evaluation and resolution of customer issues in sustaining activities.
- Collaborate with the IP teams to create comprehensive plans, incorporating realistic yet ambitious timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects on time, within budget, and meeting the defined scope.� Present project status updates to leadership teams.
- Respond effectively to feedback and data request from customers
- Create and implement risk management plans to mitigate or eliminate potential project risks.
- Develop contingency strategies and encourage innovative, out-of-the-box problem-solving to address realized risks.
- Build technical indicators to ensure that IP is meeting quality requirements and review data regularly with IP teams to ensure that design meet all requirements for release to customers
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as technical knowledge and experience in hardware development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 15+ years as a Project or Program Manager with experience in development of complex SoCs or IPs
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
