Logistics Program & Project Manager
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Program & Project Manager - Logistics will play a critical role in developing and managing logistics programs that will support our company’s growth and operational goals. You will work closely with the merger & acquisition teams and external partners to ensure a smooth transition and establish efficient logistics processes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing supply chain activities, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and implementing strategies to drive operational excellence.
Strategic Planning and Execution (Program Management):
- Define Program Goals: Align logistics strategies with business objectives, setting long-term goals and defining success metrics.
- Develop Roadmaps: Create comprehensive plans that outline milestones, timelines, and resource allocation for logistics programs.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with senior management, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns.
Project Execution (Project Management):
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements for individual logistics projects.
- Task Coordination: Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues as they arise.
- Resource Management:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Budget Management: Oversee project and program budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial control.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track Progress: Monitor progress against program and project milestones, using KPIs to measure success and adjust plans as needed.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on program and project status, including successes, challenges, and next steps.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze Performance: Continuously assess logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement Changes: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure Compliance: Make sure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain Quality: Ensure adherence to quality standards in all logistics operations.
The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is now Altera, an Intel Company. Altera prioritizes customers with end-to-end FPGAs, accessible AI, software, and supply resilience.
In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, APICS) are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 6 years in a program management or leadership role.
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address and resolve logistical challenges.
- Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and other technology tools.
- Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of semiconductor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
