Math Algorithm Engineer
Job Description
The Intel Math Kernel Library (oneMKL) Enabling team is looking for a software development engineer to work in exciting areas of Systems Programming.
This includes the development and maintenance of global Intel MKL library solutions portable across various operating systems and hardware as well as the development of new features for Intel and Intel-compatible architectures.
The primary job function is to design, develop and validate high performance mathematical software. Additionally, you may work directly with teams developing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies and customers optimizing MKL software usage.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications,
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related fields.
- 1+ years of combined experience with:
- Software development experience.
- C or C++ experience.
- Developing on Linux and/or Windows
- Computer architecture and knowledge of multithreading (pthreads, OpenMP, TBB etc.)
- Working with Build tools like Makefiles, CMake etc.
- Working with Git Version control.
Preferred qualifications,
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related fields.
- Experience working with: Bash, Batch, Python or Perl scripting.
- Experience working on at least one parallelization technology such as OpenMP3.
- Experience developing GPU applications.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
