About the Role:

Altera is looking for a Chip Lead on our next generation, flagship FPGA product. This is a highly complex SOC with leading edge IP and a market leading programmable fabric. The chip lead is someone who oversees the chip development from implementation to production. We are looking for a strong technical leader who has deep experience developing and managing complex chip development projects. The Chip Lead responsibilities include:

  • Manage the chip development from implementation start to production, and ensure the chip meets all specifications
  • Work with design, DV, physical design, and integration teams to move development forward while resolving technical issues and ensuring highest quality.
  • Collaborate and demonstrate leadership with a large cross functional team including architecture, software, and silicon validation group. Work also involves collaborating third party IP developers.
  • Develop and monitor project plans to remove any roadblocks that push schedule.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of design/validation experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading a large SOC project at leading edge
  • 5+ years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior management experience in FPGA product development
  • Experience collaborating with software development teams

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $186,760.00-$299,166.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
