Software Application Development Engineer
Job Description
You will be joining an innovative, dynamic team that will be integrating all factory MES-related data into ERP for Intel. Throughout this journey, you will gain valuable insights from various teams and technologies at Intel, using your knowledge to elevate both the team and your career.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications by ISVs.
- Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development.
- Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications.
- Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- May also interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications
QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.This position is not eligible for an Intel immigration sponsorship.Education:Bachelors 4+ years or Masters 3+ years of experience in any Engineering or STEM-related field
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in software development, design, and testing, with a focus on enterprise level mission-critical systems
- 4+ years experience with Kafka and/or other similar messaging systems
- 4+ years experience in JAVA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in designing and implementing integration solutions using Apache Camel or similar software integrations.
- Understanding of micro services architecture.
- Strong experience with open-source NoSQL databases such as Cassandara.
- Strong understanding in troubleshooting and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong hands-on experience with Git code management, migration, deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system and data issues by analyzing detailed logs.
- Experience with JMS, REST, SOAP, AMQP, and other messaging protocols.
- Hands-on experience with JSON, YAML or other data serialization languages.

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
