Government Cloud Engineer
Job Description
The Government Information Technology and Security Team (GITS) is made up of highly experienced security professionals with skills ranging from solutions architecture and information security to application development and service operations and includes regulatory compliance oversight. This cross functional team is focused on supporting the unique information security and compliance requirements for Intel® Federal LLC, a subsidiary of Intel® that delivers products and/or services to the U.S. Government (USG). We are growing our secure solution suite to meet U.S. Government requirements for data safeguarding.
In the GITS Team, each person wears many hats and has multiple areas of expertise. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual with strong analytical, communication, and security risk assessment skills and enthusiasm for rapidly learning new technologies. As part of this role, you will be part of an Agile Kanban team and be expected to support, improve, and grow our secure solutions to enhance Intel® Federal's capabilities with a constant focus on regulatory compliance of U.S. Government contracts.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- InfoSec Infrastructure and Cloud Solution Engineer to design and build identity and access management (IDAM), secure data transfer, and cloud integrations.
- Work with Cloud architects, subject matter experts, and customers to build solutions that meet the secure requirements of USG customers.
- Ensure our IDAM and Cloud environments adhere to the highest security standards and best practices.
- Work through solution lifecycles to solve complex business challenges and proactively design solutions and platforms that support high-value production environments.
- Build platform level security systems that protect at the program and project level with a mindset of defense-in-depth security.
- Partner with a deep bench of experts across multiple focus areas to solve on a variety of challenges from IT infrastructure, solution architecture, secure design and implementation, operations and compliance.
- Coordinate solution focused discussions with stakeholders, PM's, engineers, and customers that lead to actionable insights and results.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data flows.
- Ensures documentation standards are maintained for all cloud infrastructure architecture and configuration services
- Reviews health measures for various functional performance components of platform, applications, controls, and appliances and supports key security systems, responds to security events, and troubleshoots and proactively discovers security issues across the enterprise.
- Works to identify, design, test, document, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimization of data delivery, elimination of technical debt, and support/administration of key security control systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States government customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions.
Active US Government Top Secret (TS-SCI) with Polygraph.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, SW Engineering, Data security or related technical discipline with 4+ years of experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years experience performing full range of IDAM and Cloud solution engineering (Azure and AWS).
3+ or more years of experience with the following skills:
- Security certification to meet DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level II is required
- Experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NISPOM, JSIG, NIST 800-53, ICD-503
- Experience designing and building infrastructure supporting classified systems
- Experience with STIGs / SCAP / SRGs
- Experience maintaining IS package documentation (SSP, POAMs, RAR, SAR, SRTM, hardware and software inventories)
Ability to travel 25 percent as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience across a number of IT technologies including automated testing and deployment, database management, SharePoint, network DMZ's and firewalls, systems administration, BCDR, High Performance Computing solutions, GitLab
- Knowledge of manageability applications such as SCOM, BigFix, SIEM, Azure Security Center and Antivirus configuration
- Experience with Datacenter management operations like servers/hardware handling, installation, configuration, decom and general support
- CISSP, CISM, GSLC, and/or CCISO certifications
- Experience with engineering virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare or HyperV)
- Experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery)

Working Model
