TCAD Research Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for more great software engineer who can help us push computing capabilities even further. You will be working in a dynamic team which develops and applies software tools, scripts, and physical models to find the research path and guide the development of Intel transistors and the process technologies which make them.
- As a TCAD Research Engineer your responsibilities are dependent on the subgroup and will include but not be limited to applications, creating software simulation flows, developing physical models, and analyzing the fundamental device and process issues encountered in cutting-edge technology development.
- Working on a team running device simulation, circuit simulation, and process simulation to deliver software capabilities, calibrate models, perform design-technology co-optimization (DTCO), and invent novel devices and innovative processes.
- Areas of expertise applicable include advanced process or device physics and modeling, applications of process or device simulations to evaluate transistor flows or architectures. Collaboration.
- All positions will collaborate directly with the experimental research, process, and design teams to define experiments and present recommendations that achieve the scaling path for the logic, memory, and analog devices in advanced-node, industry-leading products.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position.
- Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Must possess a master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related STEM field.
- Experience: must have a minimum of 1+ years work experience in semiconductor device physics and modeling expertise in particular areas of interest including quantum transport, device transport, novel transistor architectures, DTCO, and process flow physics.
Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of research or work experience in semiconductor device physics and modeling expertise in particular areas of interest including quantum transport, device transport, novel transistor architectures, DTCO, and process flow physics.
- Publications that demonstrate expertise in such areas as device physics or process flow physics.
- Experience with TCAD (technology computer aided design) device or process simulation tools such as Atlas or Sentaurus.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or equivalent.
