System Software Quality Engineer
Job Description
Drives software quality from concept to delivery via specific KPIs and quality targets. Works with product development teams throughout development phases to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met to determine release readiness and risks. Analyzes product quality data and drives improvements through defect prediction models, requirements traceability, and SWLC optimizations. Improves customer experience with critical issue management, throughput time, root cause analysis, and software practices assessments. May work directly with customers to understand requirements upfront, pain points during development and delivery, and drive execution improvements through Intel's development life cycle. May create tools and automation to support quality evaluation and data analytics, perform out-of-box testing for software products to recreate customer experiences and pain points, and assess the state of the art to employ new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software development, validation, or quality.
- Candidates must have 1 year of experience in one of the following: Driving initiatives to improve software quality or software development efficiency, data analysis, and metrics creation techniques and knowledge of software development life cycle and programming/scripting languages.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of software quality engineering methods
- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI or equivalent and ability to connect to back-end databases to create charts and reports
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), LLMs or AI agents for automation
- Experience in delivering software products to market
- Experience in working with teams needing substantial support to mature their software development practices
