Analog / RF Customer Support Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description

• Provides technical support for solutions that incorporate one or more Intel products and technologies, drives solution design ensuring time to market readiness, transforms opportunities to design and production wins, and enables ecosystem and industry partners for platform solution readiness.

• Develops and implements product design, development, and validation tools and provides technical and issue resolution support during development, testing, and production.

• Evaluates, designs, and develops new software and hardware fixtures and utilizes tools during project deployment to validate and optimize product quality and performance.

• Creates product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral. Collaborates and enables internal and external silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver latest products in the market.

• Partners with customer R and D and manufacturing to ensure smooth product ramp through integrating customer DFx requirements, mitigating customer factory challenges, delivering product training, and providing health oversight with rapid technical support and systematic improvement action.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated talent to join the Wireless Access Network Division (WAND) as RF Customer Application Engineer for Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) in Villach. Become part of a customer focusing team and work on latest equipment, technologies, and tools. In this role you will engage with a global team, as well as worldwide Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers.

The main responsibilities for this position are:

• On- and off-site customer support on RF and DPD topics, as well as problem solving

• Driving customer solutions

• Prepare and hold customer demonstrations and presentations

• Use and maintenance of the internal support tool

• Extract customer feedback and loop back to the design team

• Contribute to the creation of documentation and supporting material

• Act as the Interface between the customer and the development team

Minimum Qualification:

• BSC or MSC in Electronics or similar with at least 3 years of experience with RF components

• Experience in the use of Power Amplifier and RF equipment like spectrum Analyzer

• Experience in the field of digital signal processing

• Experience in the field of FPGA usage

• Able to follow a logical and methodical approach to solve customer reported issues

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Self-driven personality and being eager to learn

• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and results internally as well as to customer

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment

• Ability to travel

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience as RF Application Engineer in the field of DPD

• Experience with DPD algorithms and their usage

• Experience with customer system/board power-on (PO) activities

• Deep experience with RF components like Power Amplifier, Circulators, Step Attenuators, Coupler, Balun

• Experience in the use of AGILEX FPGAs

• Experience with MATLAB

• Experience using customer supporting tools

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
