Business Development Manager 5G RAN

Job Description

This is a commission based technical specialist position within Intel's SMG (Sales & Marketing Group) in APJ . With technical expertise, the 5G solution specialist is responsible for influencing and enabling end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, partners to implement 5G air interface, access, edge, and core solutions by adopting Intel’s products and technologies.

Daily activities will include but not limited to:

• Identifying and driving Intel product portfolio opportunities by enabling solutions architecture, integration design, and sharing implementation practices in the 5G network infrastructure and precursor technologies, special on Virtual RAN/ O-RAN.
• Supporting field design win with Intel 5G infrastructure solutions (RAN), responsible for enabling the overall architecture, solution optimization/customization on top of Intel hardware & software platform
• The successful candidate would work with end customer and ecosystem partner in the pre and post sales phase.
• Gathering and transforming field internal & external partner's requirements to for 5G network infrastructure and air interface related architecture and design specifications.
• Well versed in adjacent trends and technologies such as Cellular IOT, Cloud, Analytics and Network Virtualization (Telco Cloud).
• Developing strong relationships with customers, engineering & product teams to be trusted advisor to drive solution improvements
• Conducting deep dive technical training of Intel 5G network infrastructure and air interface solutions
• Use experience, knowledge and customer relations to Influence Intel’s strategies and contributions to relevant industry standardization work such as 3GPP.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience as an enterprise technology specialist, solutions/systems architect, or systems integrator in the communications infrastructure field in the RAN domain
• Ideally the successful candidate has a University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. 

• Deep understanding of RAN architecture including protocol stacks, deployments scenarios and implementation using ASIC, FPGA, custom silicon, and IA solutions for access, edge, and core network infrastructure solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of NFV/SDN, Cloud infrastructure and the overall network transformation underway within Comms industry required to understand 5G end-to-end.
• Strong communication skills to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external
• Smooth verbal and written communication skills in English plus at least one local language as applicable.
• Highly self-motivated and disciplined, good team player and passion to work within a sales environment.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
