As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated AI Frameworks Intern to join our OpenVINO team and contribute to the next generation of AI applications. We are an organization with a strong technical atmosphere, innovation, friendly team-work spirit, and engineers with diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to lead in Deep Learning performance for heterogeneous Intel hardware like CPU, GPU, NPU. We work closely with other Intel business units and industrial partners.

In this role, you will work on software development and optimizations in the following areas:

  • Acceleration of AI frameworks such as PyTorch on Intel platforms such as CPUs, GPUs, NPUs with OpenVINO
  • Analysis of Deep Learning models and framework implementations to identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
  • Integrations with popular generative AI communities
  • Optimization of fine tuning and inference workflows

  • Ability to work closely with teammates across multiple Geos working virtually together on the same product

This internship will start in summer 2024 and may continue through 2024. Flexible hours available during the school year ( 20+).


Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience programming skills in languages such as Python and C++ .
  • 1+ year experience with popular AI frameworks like PyTorch.
  • 1+ year experience with machine learning and deep learning concepts.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Generative AI models like Stable Diffusion and Large Language models
  • Research or publications or coursework related to Deep Learning
  • Previous internship experience in the field of AI
  • Familiarity with OpenVINO is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
