Lab Compute OS engineering Intern

Job Description

We are looking for an intern to join Lab Compute OS engineering team. In this position, you will work as part of the team delivering automated solutions for Windows and Linux Operating Systems installations and configuration management in global Intel labs. Responsibilities will include preparing new OS images and builds, developing scripts and Ansible playbooks for OS configuration, providing support for OS services infrastructure, handling related incident and service request tickets.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Good level of English skills
• Knowledge and some experience in Windows or Linux administration
• Ability and motivation to learn fast, gain and apply new knowledge
• Customer and Results oriented with attention to quality and details

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scripting skills such as Bash, Python, PowerShell or Ansible

Inside this Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
