GPU Software Development Engineer

Job Description

Do you want to be part of a team creating technologies which are pushing the boundaries of innovation in 3D graphics? Here you will work with software engineers on 3D graphics driver development for the future integrated or discrete Intel graphics products.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer eager to work on 3D driver development for 3D games, workstation applications and media. In this position, you will be working with a large team of software developers spanning multiple geos.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Regular code development

• Optimization of an existing code

• Debug an existing code, root-causing and resolving complex issues

• Test content debug and analysis

• Gaining and continuously extending in-depth knowledge of Intel 3D graphics architecture and features as well as demonstrating it in day-to-day work

• Cooperating with validation, performance and architecture teams from around the globe

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with C++ programming
• Knowledge of 3D APIs, at least one of: DirectX, Vulkan or OpenGL
• Knowledge of software revision control tools
• 2+ years of experience in software and/or hardware commercial projects
•  Ability to technically solve complex technical issues
• Desire and ability to quickly learn and gain new knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with 3D gfx driver development
• Prior experience with 3D gfx game engine development
• Prior experience with 3D hardware / 3D pipeline / 3D performance modelling.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
