Job Description

A File Transfer Solution Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining file transfer systems and services. This role involves ensuring the secure and efficient transfer of data between systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and optimizing the performance of the file transfer platform. Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement file transfer solutions and platforms. Ensure the secure and efficient transfer of data between systems. Monitor and manage the performance of the file transfer platform. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to file transfer systems. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate file transfer solutions into existing infrastructure. Develop and maintain documentation for file transfer processes and procedures. Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations. Provide technical support and training to users. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in file transfer solutions.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining file transfer systems and platforms.
Ensuring the secure and efficient transfer of data between systems.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to file transfer systems.
Collaborating with other IT professionals to integrate file transfer systems with other software and hardware.
Developing and implementing security measures to protect data during transfer.
Monitoring system performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Documenting system configurations, updates, and procedures for future reference.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience with file transfer systems and platforms such as FTP, SFTP, or SCP.
Strong knowledge of network protocols and security measures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals.
Knowledge of scripting languages like .Net, ReactJS,Python, Perl, or Shell is often required.
Certifications related to network security or system administration can be beneficial.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively is also important.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
