Job Description


This is a commissioned sales position on Team Amazon - Join a tight knit, high energy, high performance team who has fun while winning. We are searching for a highly motivated and passionate leader to serve in the role as Intel's Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales Engineering Director. You lead the team of Application Engineers and Account Managers who own all aspects of supporting existing and winning new designs of Intel Data Center, AI, Networking and Edge products (e.g. CPUs, accelerators, networking, and edge) including negotiating commercial terms.

You are directly responsible for delivering quarterly and annual revenue quotas, forecasting demand, platform design activities, roadmap alignment, service/solution development, and long-term customer success. Your experience along with position in managing one of the most strategic customers for Intel comes with the added responsibility of influencing our business units and executive leadership team on future roadmap and strategy development. You think and act strategically but still love the tactical grind, which allows you to match pace with Amazon's world-renowned business model, penchant for market disruption, and one-of-a-kind corporate culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Amazon/AWS's compute platforms and infrastructure needs.

  • Win next-generation designs and maximize inclusion of Intel technologies.

  • Drive design-wins to production and execution with Amazon.

  • Develop trusted relationships with key internal and customer stakeholders.

  • Manage complex business agreements with the customer including supply forecasting and pricing.

  • Influence internal stakeholders to gain needed support and alignment to meet customer needs.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate your and the broader sales teams to deliver exceptional results.


A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Direct sales experience with Intel Datacenter, AI, Networking and Edge products.

  • Great communication skills and the ability to engage and influence all levels both internally and externally.

  • Success in complicated business negotiations.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage people, strong history of employee development.

  • Thrive in a fast paced, collaborative and, at times, ambiguous environment. Coordinate with the right resources to get the job done, take ownership or delegate where appropriate.

  • Experience leading platform level design-wins and product execution.

  • Role modeling Intel culture and values.


Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field - or equivalent professional work experience.

  • 8+ years of work experience with demonstrated success in technical sales, business development, with a strong track record of selling technical Cloud (Public, Private, Hybrid), Data or AI solutions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the cloud solution provider (CSP) market and AWS' business.

  • 5+ years of sales and relationship management with a track record of growth with large accounts.

  • 5+ years of management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Intel's Data Center, AI, Networking and Edge strategies and technology.

  • Masters in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Continued learning certifications, such as (but not limited to): AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Washington: $262,066.00-$419,290.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
