Senior Validation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Validation Engineer strengthening the modem Hardware Mixed Signal Analogue team. Our solutions are used in world-class tablets, smartphones, feature-phones, and wireless modules.

This job opening encompasses a wide range of activities:

  • Work closely with Analog Mixed Signal IP designers to execute post-silicon validation of the IP on multiple products in the lab.
  • Define test plans, methods and equipment to fully validate and characterize the analog IP designs.
  • Gather silicon bench level data and work with design, technology, and product team to resolve design issues identified.
  • Ensure the design meets specification which includes correlating data collected in the lab with simulation and high volume test data.
  • Ensure the testability of the design for lab and high volume measurements.
  • Develop a method of automating or semi-automatic data collection in the lab.
  • Work closely with product and test engineering to validate the correct tests are implemented and review the data collected to make sure the tests are implemented properly.
  • Identify additional DFX features that would facilitate easier debug and/or data collection in the lab and work with designers to implement where possible.
  • Research, test, and implement new techniques, frameworks and utilities for validation/characterization.
  • Help define and enforce validation standards and best practices test plan development, data collection, characterization reports, test scripts, test methodology documentation, etc


Qualifications

Qualifications: BS or MS Masters degree required in Electrical engineering 7+ years of industry experience in Validation and/or Characterization of Analog / Mixed Signal low power blocks such as PLL analogue and /or digital , DLL, Bandgap, Voltage regulators, ADC, DAC, Crystal oscillators. 5+ years of industry experience in high speed analog/rf/mix signal low power Validation, including Gigabits Serdes and Transceivers Experience with logic analyzers, high speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, Signal Generators, Power supplies, Digital Multimeters, Network Analyzers, and BERT Excellent knowledge in IC validation methodologies and experience in conducting test and measurements for various timing/current/voltage parameters Precise attention to details, self-motivated, high degree of personal responsibility, willingness to mentor less experienced engineers Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex problems and to analyze and clearly summarize data collected Excellent communication skills- Team-player- Self-driven and entrepreneurial way of working Additional Skills: Design/test knowledge in PLL, DLL, temp sensor, voltage regulators, ADC/DAC is a plus Experience with script writing Python/C/C++/Perl/T32 and lab validation/CZ board design is a plus
