FW Development Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for talented people who would contribute to development of embedded firmware for Intel server platforms. As a Firmware Development you will have an opportunity to develop and validate firmware using state-of-the-art programming and validation technologies and techniques. You will gain experience on world best server technologies, such as performance efficient power management, server manageability, etc. which will be released to the market in few years.

You will become a part of one of the best Intel teams and have a possibility to work with highly motivated individuals - best professionals in their field.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform.
  • Source code development, review and maintenance C/C++.
  • Experience in low level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture.
  • Experience in storage interface standards such as SATA, PCIe, and Fiber Channel.
  • System integration using 8, 16, 32 bit microcontrollers.
  • Algorithm modeling, benchmarking, implementation.


Qualifications

Must have:

  • Engineering/MSc degree of Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Science
  • Understanding aspects of low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture and hardware design
  • Proven track of software development for embedded systems mainly in C language
  • Knowledge of multithreaded programming in C
  • Good team work and cooperation
  • Good command of English

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of real time systems characteristics
  • Basics knowledge popular embedded interfaces e.g. RS-232, SPI, I2C etc.
  • Debugging techniques local/remote
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with hardware and/or software validation
  • Experience in low level Kernel programming
