The Accelerator Architecture Lab, part of Intel Labs, has an opening for a research scientist to work on ASIC or FPGA-based acceleration technologies. The successful candidate will work on studying applications/algorithms and evaluating their suitability for ASIC or FPGA accelerations. The work can include bringing up optimized software reference implementations, designing and prototyping FPGA accelerators, and evaluating the benefits of such accelerators.
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
The candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
