Senior Strategic Planner

The Global Construction Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our planning team. This is your chance to use your industry benchmarks and insights to develop a robust planning process that helps solve Intel's multidimensional challenges.

We are looking for a pioneering construction professional with a passion for tackling age old problems in data informed ways. Your ability to objectively anticipate the gaps in our planning, quantify the risks and balance those risks with the market demands will help you excel in this role. 

As a senior planner your focus will be up front in the project timeline. You will work with project teams to develop thoroughly coordinated project plans that comprehend the full project life cycle. Moreover, these project plans must be arrived at in a data driven manner that is verifiable. We believe that using data we can find low cost and low risk ways to streamline the design, construction and commissioning of our projects.

Our goal is to steer the semiconductor construction industry into one that is lean, efficient, collaborative and partnering and we'd love the chance to welcome a few new change agents to the team.

For this position, you will need to:

  • Identify benchmarks
  • Develop standards that can be systematically incorporated into our operations throughout the planning and scheduling process.
  • Visualize the work as a production flow and measure the effectiveness of that flow with analytics.
  • Systematize our business processes and generate production flow across all our operations.
  • Develop approaches that are optimized across the supply chain, not just Intel.
  • Partner with Intel's technology development teams, strategic planners, facility operations managers and project execution teams.
  • Integrate your plans with Intel's manufacturing ramp plans.
  • Collaborate with external partners including design engineers, construction management firms, trades contractors and consultants

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management field.
  • Permanent right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in:

  • Construction and construction schedule management.
  • Primavera P6 usage on large complex projects.
  • Integration with electronic commissioning tools such as Latista or VEO.
  • Experience using Last Planner System and training project teams on effective LPS usage.
  • Pull Planning methods and tools.
  • The ability to leverage Microsoft Excel to perform detailed analysis and reporting of the various schedules.
  • Disciplined approach to problem-solving methodologies.
  • Research strategies
  • Production flow concepts outside the typical manufacturing processes.
  • Integrated planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Construction or Six-Sigma Certified.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Management field.
  • Experience working across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Specific knowledge of semi-conductor industry or other clean environment industries ex. pharmaceutical, solar is considered a plus.
