RF Digital Verification Engineer f/m

Job Description

Develops and supports digital circuit design for cell libraries. Performs custom digital circuit design and simulation. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for use in digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Performs digital circuit design, verification and layout, data path design and digital block synthesis.

In this position you will be joining a team of System Development Engineers. Your main focus will be pre-silicon verification for digital designs. This team is developing leading edge HW architectures for Application Specific Integrated Circuit ASIC RF products for mobile applications, focusing on power efficient Register Transfer Logic implementation RTL implementation of DSP algorithms which heavily interact with its control firmware.

What you’ll do:

  • Developing verification IP for complex design blocks
  • Responsible for implementation of test-bench concepts for pre-silicon verification
  • Working with design engineers to develop cluster level directed/random tests and environments
  • Working with the physical design layout team on synthesis, formal verification and timing convergence
  • Interacting closely with other teams such as the system architecture, software, firmware and post-silicon validation


  • MA or Dipl.Ing. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent required
  • Experience with SystemC, Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL, Tcl, Perl , C++
  • Experience with OVM / UVM class library components, phasing, factory
  • Deep knowledge of algorithm modelling, hardware architectures and filtering techniques
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing
  • Algorithm modelling using Matlab
  • Experience standard tools and flows for RTL to silicon design and verification e.g. DC-compiler, Primetime
  • Good knowledge of UVM register model preferable
  • Good knowledge of System Verilog assertions
