Intel's Processor Graphics pGfx powers all IA devices from smart phones to tablets, PC clients and servers across all major OS's. VPG (Visual and Parallel Computing Group) software has a long-term plan to build a graphic software competency center in China and we have a goal to help Intel establish its graphic brand in China and to help Intel win the adjacent market segments e.g. tablets with our Core graphic capability.
For this position, we are looking for Graphics Software Engineers to join us on the latest & future media technologies on processor graphics for a family of Intel core products.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop high performance software modules for video Codec and video processing, Content protection, 3DGfx/Display in C/C++/assembly language
- Performance analysis and tuning for media driver on various Intel platforms running different operating systems e.g., Windows, Android and Linux
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with software and hardware design and validation teams as they relate directly to your development/technology
-Testing and validations, Customer Debugging and integration support
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering - Experience in media/video software development, fair understanding of video compression standards and processing algorithms - Experience in 3DGfx/Display software development - Experience in C/C++ programming and familiar with Windows/Linux/Android development tool chain - Solid understanding of operating systems kernel and runtime - Experienced in programming with system APIs - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills - A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team across multiple sites Nice to have Qualifications - Ability to understand and/or interpret graphics/media driver requirements and designs based on hardware, operating system or industry specifications - Experience in kernel/user mode driver programming in mainstream OSes, such as Android, Linux, and Windows - Experience in DXVA and/or popular Linux/Android media framework - Experience in performance analysis and tuning - Experience in compiler front-end development
